Role mission:
We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Global Leader to drive strategic change initiatives across the infrastructure organization and oversee L3 support operations. This role will plan, manage and lead infrastructure change projects to ensure that CUBEs platform remains up to date, efficient and secure including enhancements to system performance, reliability, and scalability in both on-premise and cloud (Azure) environments.
As the Global Leader, you will manage advanced technical operations teams across Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia, taking ownership of major system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements. Your expertise will ensure the seamless integration of on-premise systems with cloud-based services, enabling a hybrid environment optimized for current and future business needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Driving Change Projects Across Hybrid Environments:
o Own and lead strategic change initiatives, such as system upgrades, technology migrations, and infrastructure enhancements in on-premise and Azure environments.
o Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to plan and execute change programs effectively.
o Design and manage hybrid cloud projects, including workload migration, cloud adoption strategies, and optimization of on-premise systems.
o Develop comprehensive project roadmaps, timelines, and success metrics, ensuring minimal operational disruption during transitions.
2. Leadership and Oversight of L3 Operations:
o Lead the global L3 team in resolving escalated technical issues, focusing on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
o Ensure adherence to SLAs and align support activities with business impact priorities.
o Oversee operational frameworks that support scalable, efficient, and reliable service delivery across on-premise and cloud (Azure) infrastructures.
3. Business Continuity Management
o Help drive business continuity management by evaluating and executing disaster recovery procedures.
o Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
o Monitor and review business continuity plans regularly to ensure they remain effective and up-to-date.
4. Hybrid Infrastructure Optimization:
o Evaluate and implement technologies to modernize on-premise systems and integrate them with Azure cloud services.
o Lead the implementation of best practices for hybrid infrastructure security, scalability, and performance.
o Monitor system performance across environments and proactively address potential risks and inefficiencies.
5. Problem Management and Continuous Improvement:
o Establish and maintain a structured problem management framework to address recurring incidents and systemic issues.
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing trends, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions across both environments.
o Lead post-project reviews and incorporate lessons learned into future initiatives and operations.
6. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
o Act as the escalation point for critical incidents requiring advanced technical expertise in on-premise and cloud environments.
o Partner with L1/L2 leaders to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and efficient escalation paths.
o Regularly engage with IT leadership and business units to align change projects and L3 operations with strategic priorities.
7. Team Development and Knowledge Sharing:
o Mentor and develop L3 team members, enhancing their ability to manage escalations and lead technical projects.
o Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and documentation to capture best practices and project learnings.
o Organize training and upskilling initiatives focused on hybrid cloud technologies and advanced problem-solving.
8. Strategic Planning and Technology Leadership:
o Collaborate with IT leadership to define the strategic direction for L3 operations and change initiatives.
o Lead efforts to modernize infrastructure, optimize existing hybrid systems, and ensure readiness for future business needs.
o Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience managing large-scale change initiatives in hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud) and leading global L3 support operations.
- Proven track record of delivering successful system upgrades, migrations, and technology transformation projects involving Azure services.
- Expertise in problem management frameworks, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Strong understanding of ITIL practices, with certifications in incident, problem, and change management preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services, including governance, security, and optimization, as well as traditional on-premise systems.
- Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile methodologies.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven industries.
- Proficiency with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management) and collaboration platforms.
