Mike is a passionate Research/Data Scientist with over 10 years of experience in Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning areas. He has demonstrated expertise in: conducting research; proposing innovative AI-based approaches and applying cutting edge data/ML-driven solutions; managing data development challenges and deploying end-to-end data science solutions; leading the development of data science teams and analytics-focused products.

Mike completed his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in collaboration with CSIRO's Data61 (the leading research and industrial organisation in Australia). His PhD was towards proposing and building state-of-the-art ML and NLP solutions for enabling social sensing, with the focus on Twitter user geolocation inference. He has authored/co-authored multiple high-quality publications in top-tier peer-reviewed AI conferences and journals. 

Before joining CUBE, Mike has got several years of industrial experience in different sectors (including Healthcare, Finance, Entertainment, Insurance, etc.), playing a key leading role in empowering and succeeding data science functions.

At CUBE, Mike leads the RegTransform’s Data Science team to deliver innovative and cutting-edge AI, ML, and NLP solutions to the enterprise and develop tomorrow’s advances in Regulatory Intelligence.
